From the beginning of April until the end of October Oasis Trails runs an albergue in Villamayor de Monjardin on the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain. It is a small albergue and can sleep up to 25 people. Apart from offering lodging we also offer a communal dinner, a buffet breakfast, and every evening we have a Jesus Meditation that we invite pilgrims to join. Our desire is to offer the love of Jesus in word and action to every pilgrim that shows up on our doorstep.
We have volunteers from all over the world including Canada, Australia, the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, England…. Volunteers stay for a period of time between three weeks and three months and do a variety of tasks from cleaning rooms and doing laundry to cooking meals and welcoming guests. But first and foremost our volunteers are part of our family and we do life together – eating meals, worshipping and praying, going for hikes, playing games, etc.
