Location

At the edge of the pilgrims’ quarters, against the mountain slopes, you will find a group of guest houses. One of these is called the Pyramid Café and Guest House. It borrows its name from the variety of simple structures with a pyramid-shaped roof in the middle of a relatively natural environment. Just as the rooms in the building, these huts can also be rented for a good price. In season the restaurant is visited by many westerners and, due to the lush plant growth and vegetable garden, looks like an oasis.
We are able to rent a piece of this area for our Indian tent, the Tent of Grace. The surrounding terrain is terrace-shaped and contains a number of mango trees. The octagonal tent has a diameter if 6 meters (nearly 20 feet), with roll-up sides. It is a striking structure, inviting passersby to drop in for a conversation and a cup of tea. Or just to relax for a while.
