Opening times

As the pilgrims arrive in the inn hostel there is first the bathing ritual and a mid-afternoon nap and then time for exploring the area. They will have passed the tea house earlier, at the end of their day’s journey, and their curiosity has been aroused. But by the time they are ready to come it is already three o’clock in the afternoon. The opening times are tailored to this, from three o’clock in the afternoons to eight o’clock in the evenings. And it sometimes extends another hour.
It is never very busy; usually there are not more than four or five guests. If there would be more people it would become too busy to really have a good conversation.
In the winter there are few pilgrims and even fewer visitors. That’s why the tea house is closed from November through March. But we want to be able to offer the local population something during the winter season.
