Community

We don’t want to just tell people about Jesus, but we want them to be able to taste and see that He is good and we believe that this is done in the context of community. As we live together and love each other with the love of Christ, that love flows out of us onto those around us and they will see and experience the goodness of God. We see this happen regularly at the albergue as pilgrims comment on the joy and love that they see and feel.

Our daily spiritual rhythm includes worship, reading the scriptures, and prayer. As we have all been given spiritual and natural gifts we want our community to be a place where people can use those gifts and are encouraged to grow in them. We really enjoy good food, fellowshipping around the table,  and of course just having fun – playing games, going for hikes, painting, dancing, drinking coffee….

Community isn’t something that we offer – it’s something that we are. When people come we encourage them to take initiative, to be active, and to engage at the level that they desire.
